Marlow Museum's latest exhibition opened on Friday, 26th July 2024, and will be on display for the next nine months.
The exhibition celebrates Marlow's rich literary history through the lives and works of literary greats such as Mary Shelley, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Jerome K. Jerome, and T.S. Eliot, Edgar Wallace, and Enid Blyton.
Working with a range of supporters, including Eton College, River and Rowing Museum, Jonkers Rare Books in Henley on Thames, and Marlow Bookshop, we have curated a blend of interesting books, first editions, personal letters, and other artefacts, so visitors can see the impact of Marlow and the surrounding area on these creative minds. Each exhibit offers a vignette into the author's story and their time.
Whether you're a literature lover, a history buff, or simply curious about our town’s literary past, Writers in Marlow offers a fascinating journey into our history, illuminating the enduring bond between place and prose.
Join us to celebrate the timeless legacy of Marlow's authors and gain a deeper appreciation for the stories that have shaped our cultural landscape.
